Eligibility Requirements Explained
1. 30 Days of Continuous Sobriety:
- To ensure a smooth transition and maximize success in our program, students should be at least 30 days sober to enroll.
- If your student has less than 30 days sober, we still encourage you to schedule a tour to learn about our program and how we can support your student in reaching 30 days sober.
2. Referral
- Applicants must be referred for admission by a qualified physician, counselor, or treatment center.
- An optional up-to-date psycho-social assessment may provide valuable insights into the student's mental and emotional well-being, recovery progress, and suitability for our program.
3. Commitment to Recovery:
- Emerald School is designed to support students who are actively engaged in their recovery journey.
- This includes a genuine desire to maintain sobriety, participate in recovery activities, and embrace a healthy lifestyle.
4. Addressing Legal Issues:
- Any current legal issues should be disclosed and actively addressed during the application process.
- Demonstrating a commitment to resolving legal matters fosters a safe and supportive environment for all students.
5. Willingness to Participate in Drug Testing:
- Regular and random drug testing is an essential part of our recovery support program.
- Willingness to participate demonstrates a commitment to maintaining sobriety and personal accountability.
6. Consistent Support Network:
- A strong support network is crucial for long-term recovery success.
- Applicants should have a consistent relationship with a sponsor or peer in recovery who can offer guidance and encouragement.
7. Addressing Mental Health Concerns:
- Applicants are encouraged to be actively managing any mental health conditions through therapy, medication, or other appropriate treatment methods.
- To ensure a strong community of support around your student, we ask that you sign off to allow us to keep in close communication with outside providers.
8. Following Medical Recommendations:
- Adherence to a medical professional's recommendations for psychiatry and medication is essential for overall well-being.
- This demonstrates a commitment to taking a holistic approach to recovery, addressing both physical and mental health needs.
