Students Study Music at Emerald School

Emerald School Receives Music & Arts Grant from Mockingbird Foundation

This year, Emerald School of Excellence received a grant from the Mockingbird Foundation to support our Music and Arts Program. The Mockingbird Foundation is a volunteer-run organization that supports music education across America. Emerald School of Excellence received $5,000 funding in the foundation’s 26th round of competitive grants. We are so grateful for their support of youth in recovery from substance use and co-occurring disorders.

Emerald School of Excellence will be using the funds to expand our music studio including buying new computers, music production software, microphones, and more. Students frequently use the studio to play instruments, record music, and produce music. It is also used as a teaching space for our music class where students learn to play instruments like drums or guitar, complete lessons on music history, or create their own beats. Our team is excited to expand the music studio to accommodate our continued growth in enrollment.
